"I live in Muskegon and bought a car in Muskegon for some reason they started my policy in Ann Arbor 3 hours from where I live and now I can’t go into my local office to pay my bill and they’re telling me it’s gonna be anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to transfer all my info over beyond livid since cash is my only payment option, would avoid State Farm at all costs I will be taking my business elsewhere where, Side note upon logging into the app for the first Time my bill was also $180 more than what I was originally quoted, They fixed it but had no answer as to why it was this way to begin with"

"Finding an insurance agent who actually treats you like a human being and not just a policy number is rare, but Kevin Shettler is the real deal. He has been an absolute rock for my family, consistently going above and beyond to make sure we feel supported through whatever life throws at us. Whether we are dealing with the high-stress aftermath of an accident late at night or just need a quick question answered, Kevin is always available and incredibly reliable. Making a claim had never been easier. One of the things I appreciate most is his integrity; I remember standing at a rental car counter feeling pressured to buy all the "extra" daily coverage, but a quick call to Kevin (when he was on vacation too!) saved me hundreds of dollars. He took the time to explain my coverage, proving that he cares more about my financial well-being than just making a sale. "BEWARE! Kevins office is "nice" but incompetent at shepherding a claim through and ensuring any sort of restitution. We had a pipe burst that all parties (from the tradesmen that examined it to a lawyer we hired to represent us) agreed should have been covered by our policy. Instead, because State Farm is underwater due to hail and other claims, it was rejected and we were told that fighting through the courts was the only options. We're now out around $30K. Michigan is also a no fault state, so when you need to hire your own counsel to represent you, you are out the money as well. Notice all the reviews on here (or the majority i read) are about how easy they are to work with when enrolling - they are happy to take your money, but will never help you when you need it."

"I can't say enough good things about Megan, who went above and beyond in helping me to enroll in State Farm's Medicare supplemental insurance plan. Due to my own unique circumstances, my enrollment turned out to be unexpectedly complicated. The online enrollment system balked, but Megan persisted until she got it to accept me. She stayed late on a Friday afternoon to make sure that I had signed all the necessary documents and that everything was processed correctly. Megan provided superior customer service -- a rare thing nowadays. Besides being determined to overcome obstacles, she is knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and funny. This was my first experience with the Kevin Shettler State Farm Agency and I'm delighted to be their client."

"Great office. They got me better insurance for a similar or cheaper rate than I had through progressive. I used them years ago and went away from them when I moved to the Bahamas. Didn't need coverage, only reason I didnt use them when I moved back was a 7 day waiting period and I needed insurance that day. 😅 bad planning got me bad insurance. Great office and Megan has been a dream to work with."

"We don't just use Kevin Shettler; our entire family relies on him for all our insurance needs. Kevin and his State Farm agency are truly in a league of their own. My mother was in a serious car accident, and what could have been a truly devastating financial and logistical nightmare was, thankfully, a manageable situation all because of the comprehensive protection plan Kevin had set up for her. "This is an update 12‐8‐25 to my praise of Kevin's and the great support team: I realized my beacon wasn't working l called Kevin's office right away. Jennifer answered the phone and emailed the tech personally. I received the new Beacon a few days later. I am so grateful for Jennifer help. I have had State Farm insurance with Kevin Shettler for over 9 years now (12‐8‐25). Over the years l have found that the support team has been friendly and have always help me l asked. I like that the beacon enables my driving to be recorded, it even has helped me to improve my driving. 8-1-24, Today l called Kevin's office, Jennifer and affirmed my renters insurance with my apartment. Jennifer later sent me a copy of the 'proof of insurance' as l do not have a printer. Over the years I have found that good and improved driving is rewarded by State Farm insurance. It was not the case with prior insurance I find a level of trust has been etablished within me for Keven and the team. I am grateful for them. "What is the point of even having insurance when - after a pipe bursts in September causing $25k+ in damages - you are told it will be covered by everyone who works on it and then they give you the run around/ causing you to need to file a complaint with the state? What even do we pay the broker for since we could never get ahold of them (the guy was on vacation for three weeks? And kept telling us he’d call us)? We are no longer State Farm costumers. And never will be again."

"My daughter was moving to MI and we needed to get her insurance moved from OH but it had to be done in stages starting in May. I spoke with Jennifer and told her what we needed. She was amazing!
